Will you be out and about in the city as much as me this summer? Maybe you’re a local to Torrono or perhaps you’ll be visiting to check our The Views Drake keeps rapping about. Either way, I got my recommendations for my favourite healthy spots to eat in the city. Sometimes its just nice to have a sure thing where you can stop for a bite and ensure it will be healthy and delicious.

I must say I’m well versed in this area. I’ve been around the healthy resto block and have some accurate reviews to share with you. So here we go:

Live Organic (The Annex & Liberty Village)

Do you have a lot of dietary restrictions? Are you looking for something uber healthy? Live Organic is always super fresh and they easily accommodate any dietary restrictions you may have. As a nutritionist, I can tell the thought they’ve put into their recipes to maximize the health benefits. They have quite the variety on their menu too, from salads, to grain bowls to burritos. They also serve alcohol.

Impact Kitchen (East end)

Are you doing the paleo thing? Impact Kitchen is where you need to stop! They have bone broth as one of their drink choices and their bowls are completely paleo friendly. There is also paleo treats if your wanting to satisfy that sweet tooth and remain grain free.

Kupfert and Kim (Downtown, Multiple locations)

Gonna be smack dab downtown? Kupfert and Kim has multiple locations downtown serving the working people with health and clean eats. It’s frequented by many and often has a huge rush around lunchtime. I love their unique bowls, healthy treats and grab and go fridge that is stocked with cold press juices, nut milks, coconut water and cold teas.

Village Juicery (Multiple locations)

Feelin’ the need for a cold-pressed juice to get your nutrients in after all that travel or partying? I feel you! Village Juicery is a highly rated juice bar that has multiple locatison in the Toronto. In my opinion, some of their blends are the best I’ve ever tasted. They also have hot cocoa and a hot ginger fireball that will knock your socks off.

Planta (Bay and Bloor)

Looking for a night out? Planta is the classy option for a night out with your lady friends. All items on the menu are plant-based, so it’s great for vegans that want options. I love their specially crafted cocktails, tasty apps and gluten-free pizza. Not to mention, the tropical vibe and decor are totally my style.

The Grow Op (Ossington)

Looking for an acai bowl? Girl, this one doesn’t disappoint. Not only does it taste delicious, it is totally Instagram worthy! I also love that they have many different kinds of Kombucha on tap.

Fresh (Multiple locations)

Are you going to dinner with someone who isn’t plant-based or who just wants fries and a burger? In that case, Fresh might be a good choice for you! Fresh is awesome because it provides options for the vegan eater but can also appeal to someone who just wants some grub.

I want to thank Modern Map Art for the awesome art pictured. I can’t wait to have it framed and find a spot for it near my desk.

You can learn more about their prints and purchase your own on their website. There are different colours and also maps different cities – so it’s not only for those local to The Six!
